WillPlay is thrilled to have designed and manufactured the dynamic new play equipment expanding Bayview Park Pirate Playground in Point Cook, Victoria. Supplied in partnership with Blade Recreation for the Wyndham City Council, this project brilliantly utilises the natural topography of a large suburban hill. By expanding the play value to the base of the incline, the space now offers multi-tiered adventure options for families, complete with shaded picnic shelters and beautiful established trees.
At the base of the hill, the imposing 4-metre-high Activity Net stands as a major drawcard for older daredevils who love the physical challenge of climbing high to the summit. For shared group action, a vibrant blue 4-Seat Double Rocker lets groups of friends experience cooperative balancing fun together.
Early childhood and sensory play are masterfully integrated into a large, shaded sandpit zone. Little builders can serve up treats at the coastal-themed Sand Play System, complete with a "Beach Café" shopfront and an integrated surfboard panel. The sandpit also features dual diggers: a standard Sand Digger alongside an Accessible Digger, allowing children who cannot sit to easily dig alongside their peers. For a controlled yet thrilling experience, toddlers can navigate the custom Embankment Slide positioned on the lower slope without needing to tackle the steep climb to the top.
True inclusive design shines through with a flush-to-ground All-Abilities Spinner that accommodates wheelchairs seamlessly. WillPlay also supplied a high-durability 1m Roto Basket Swing Seat and chains, suspended from a massive overhead arch frame to give all park visitors the joyful sensation of flying.
