The leafy pocket of Hoppers Crossing has been transformed into a fantastic neighbourhood gathering space with the addition of a custom-designed play area on Whitsunday Drive. WillPlay drove the design and manufacture of this equipment rollout, supplying the vibrant collection in partnership with Blade Recreation for the Wyndham City Council. Framed by established, shady trees, this new reserve setup packs an immense amount of play value into a peaceful, family-focused pocket.
The undeniable centrepiece of the park is the expansive Custom PlayPark unit. With Knotty Pine timber-look aluminium posts and light timber composite panels, the system perfectly complements the leafy, established trees framing the reserve. It is an all-in-one hub of physical development where kids can test their agility on monkey bars, conquer various climbing paths, navigate balance challenges and speed down two bright green open slides.
WillPlay intentionally designs equipment for younger children and sensory-seeking park visitors. For imaginative toddler play, the custom Little Town Electric Service Station paired with the matching Little Car creates a delightful ground-level roleplay zone. Nearby, a vibrant Digger Rocker and an iconic Cockatoo Rocker offer joyful motion for littlies.
Accessibility and comfort are prioritised with a thoughtful rubber pathway leading straight to the premium 2-bay swing frame. This configuration features a Joey swing—enabling parents and toddlers to experience the joy of swinging face-to-face—alongside traditional flat and toddler seats. When it is time to wind down after active play, a durable woven mesh hammock offers the perfect quiet retreat to relax under the shade.
