A beachside playground with a view! Sunshine Coast Council’s Keith Hill Park at Golden Beach has been revitalised with a vibrant, coastal-themed play environment positioned right on the foreshore. WillPlay drove the design and precision manufacture of this bespoke equipment suite, bringing playful coastal character to a picture-perfect rest stop for local families and path walkers alike. Smooth sandstone retaining blocks help level the beachfront site within the sand softfall footprint, creating an inviting space where parents can sit, relax and take in the stunning water views while children play.
The focal point of the upgraded reserve is a Fairytale play unit featuring a blue crab graphic panel that overlooks the ocean. Engineered for growing adventurers, the system offers entry-level staircase access leading up to an elevated lookout deck detailed with a beach-themed palm tree motif. Children can navigate flexible rope bridge crossings, low-level net hammocks, and interactive Tic-Tac-Toe game panels before choosing their exit down opposite open slides.
Adjacent to the main structure within the soft beach sand, a Basket Swing features a wide rope basket swing seat. Positioned to look directly over the water, the swing allows kids of all abilities to soar while taking in the passing boats and coastal views. Built from high-durability, marine-grade materials engineered to withstand Australian harsh environments, this upgraded space ensures Keith Hill Park will remain a cherished local destination for years to come.
