Moore Park Beach's foreshore is buzzing with new energy! As part of an exciting precinct uplift happening alongside the refurbishment of the neighbouring surf club, this spectacular destination playground brings to life an RPS design inspired by the local sand dunes and turtles. RPS and WillPlay worked closely together, in collaboration with principal contractor Boyds Bay Group, to deliver this landmark playspace for the community.
The undisputed star of the show is the bespoke 7.3-metre-high play tower. This impressive, custom structure offers challenging climbs and rewards adventurers with stunning coastal views before they brave the exhilarating 7.3-metre slide back down! It’s a feature guaranteed to capture the imagination and test the limits of older kids and teens.
But the adventure doesn't stop there. Kids can explore the sprawling Giant Treehouse system, offering endless routes for climbing, scrambling, and imaginative play. For those seeking high-speed thrills, the Double Cable Way provides side-by-side flying fox action, sure to be a massive hit.
Ensuring fun for a wide range of users, the playspace also includes a 1-metre Double Embankment Slide perfect for younger children or shared sliding fun, a dynamic 3-Way Touch Swing encouraging social play, and an All-Abilities Spinner providing inclusive dizzying delights for everyone.
This playground is specifically designed to excite and engage older children, providing the height, speed, and climbing challenges they thrive on.
Visually, the entire playground features a colour palette that pays tribute to the local environment. The rubber softfall surfacing uses colours that represent the surrounding sand dunes, while the equipment's timber-look and green tones from our 'Nature' range were inspired by the area's turtles. This thoughtful approach allows the impressive structures to blend seamlessly with the beautiful coastal parkland, enhancing the natural aesthetics of the Moore Park Beach foreshore.
The fun extends beyond the play structures! Nearby shaded seating areas and BBQ facilities invite families and friends to settle in and stay longer. It’s the perfect setup for enjoying a whole day out at the beach, easily hosting birthday parties, or having a relaxed catch-up while keeping an eye on the kids exploring the fantastic new equipment.
